I cannot see any familiar pilot's faces in the screenshots. Are they new, or the old ones just received new "looks". Which one is our Hero?
ps. Which one is the Red Corsair, he is my man.

Completely new. This is a new story in the old world.
As far as I can remember you'll meet some of old characters during the story. But I'm not quite sure.

Hero is the Hero at any game. New games, new heroes.

The main problem for the fans (not russian) is an impossibility well to know a plot "Heritages of Empire". As "Civil War" is (according to the developers) direct continuation of that subject line, also all questions on the old heroes disappear by themselves. So, Hero and Ace simply can not remain the simple mercenaries, having received admiral's ranks. And the new Astra's social status in general is the reason of occurrence of New Empire and beginning of Civil War.

P.S. Probably developers should publish the text version of an alternative subject line in this theme? She will be addressed to the one who is unfamiliar with her by virtue of a geographical and language situation.

If Astra have new social status /whatever it is/ at the end of the "Heritage" branch that didn't allow her to be a pilot, and Hero is admiral in the "Imperial" ending, most likely the "Civil war" follows the "Lanovar" ending. There all our heroes are still "mercs" that are hiding, after rejecting both the NAVY and the Corporations. Anyway we, the english speaking users will appreciate a brief historical intro for this new adventure. Thanks for the concern.

From all the pictures of the pilots on the screenshots, which one represents Hero, and which one is Ace? The question might look stupid to you, but the inscriptions are cyrilic, and I have no idea what they mean.

As far as I know, the old characters have their own faces as you know them, slightly redesigned in details, but not in the look. So if you dont find any familliar faces, so these pilots are new to you.

Okay, Okay, I got it: new people, new baseship, new plots, new team, new looks, new maps, new everything. The old team is laying low somewhere because they are the most wanted people in what's left from the Empire. If they appear in the game it will be accidental. Расстроен

Will the team be able to hire other mercenary teams like in the SW2? And after slaughtering them in SW2 I received no experience points - only systems and weapons. Is that bug in the engine or deliberate action by the developers? Is that changed now? In total, are there any changes in the experience gaining in SWCW?

after slaughtering them now you'll get much more - lots of problems Хы...
as well, as after slaughtering peaceful traders, neutral stations and NPCs
we developed new system of global reputation among other sides and fraction, so, after slaughtering anybody, no one should expect for easy riding through certain star systems

As far as I understand it, the side I shoot at will "remember" that I am their enemy. But later in the game, this most certainly can turn some of the tasks impossible to be completed. So is there a way for the "Star wolves" to "redeem" themselves /or pay their way to peace/, or they will stay enemies with this side until the end of the game?

With all these new improvements, you should assign special team to write the manual - it can as well be longer that the game's source code. Ой, не могу!.. Ой, не могу!.. Ой, не могу!..

It is nice that the game finally have such level of realism. I am really waiting forward to see it. Супер!

Probably someone new. There was a big discussion in our Russian branch. I suppose it's the Crusaders or something like that.

I've seen you have remodelled the ships:

# reduced amount of polygons #
I guess this was done to increase the frame rate. How large is the influence?

# the amount of collision spheres was drastically reduced #
While playing SW2 i had some difficulties with the frame rate especially in scenes including the battleship (linkor). Reducing the amount of spheres helped me to go further on in the game. Was this a general problem and is it now resolved?
And how do you have created the new spheres (plugin for modelling software)?

# elder models are updated to the SW2 file format (*.imd) #
What is the effect of the additional info compared to SW1?

# textures of ships were redone #
While i understand that for producing new versions of former neglected versions (e.g. inoco butcher)- why was this done for already existing versions too (now they appear darker)?
